BATAVIA TIMES – Manchester United removed two players from its main squad in the January 2022 transfer market. Striker Anthony Martial and attacking midfielder Donny van de Beek were loaned by MU to other clubs.
Martial joined Sevilla last month. Meanwhile, Van de Beek finally moved to Everton after being delayed in the summer of 2021.
Interestingly, both Martial and Van de Beek were only on loan for six months. MU does not include permanent ownership options for Sevilla and Everton.
Journalist transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported this move was taken by United, because they wanted a permanent coach next season to decide the fate of Anthony Martial and Van de Beek.
