Halomaluku.com – Barcelona has reached an agreement with Spotify to become the team’s main sponsor. Its value reaches 280 million euros, or around Rp. 4.6 trillion.
Catalan radio reported RAC1, the cooperation contract will last for three years, starting next season. The signal of the agreement appeared when Spotify’s CEO, Daniel Ek, arrived at Camp Nou to watch Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid on Sunday (6/2//2022).
Spotify will be the main sponsor of the Barcelona men’s and women’s jerseys, replacing Rakuten and Stanley. Not only that, the training jersey for the men’s team that has been sponsored by Beko will also be replaced with the name of the Swedish music service company.
But what caught the most attention was the change in the name of the stadium. There will be a Spotify appendage in the naming of the new Camp Nou, and this will be the first time in Barcelona’s history, even though it’s done a lot in the world of sport.
The funding from Spotify is expected to ease Barcelona’s financial burden, which has been disrupted for the past two seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic and mismanagement in recent years. In addition, Barcelona can also build a better squad, especially in the men’s team.
